Barium chloride

Used as a multi-performance additive in petroleum industry. Also used in barium grease and oil refining. Beets make sugar, medicine, and are also raw materials for plastics and rayon, and can be used as resin stabilizers. It is also used in the manufacture of organic synthesis and other barium salts, in the softening of water, and in the glass and enamel industries
